Danny Naipo
Daniel Naipo’s musical journey began at the tender age of 12. As the third member of the family group, Naipo Serenaders, he performed weekly for tourists in Waikiki. In 1976, the group transitioned to a permanent residency at the Hawaiian Regent Hotel, now known as the Waikiki Marriott, where they entertained audiences for the next decade.
At 16, Danny joined the Kailua High School Madrigal Singers, a prestigious choir that afforded him the opportunity to perform internationally in countries such as France, Germany, Sweden, Thailand, Turkey, Malaysia, Sri Lanka, India, Africa, Egypt, Hong Kong, And Japan. Even before graduating high school, he had already experienced the thrill of performing on world stages.
After graduating in 1979, Dan continued to elevate his career by performing alongside renowned Hawaiian artists like Genoa Keawe and Marlene Sai. He also embarked on solo projects, including the formation of the group Tropical Knights, garnering two Na Hoku Hanohano nominations. He also joined Na Kama who’s talents were recognized with multiple Na Hoku Hanohano Music Awards.

Bryan Tolentino
Bryan Tolentino, a seasoned ‘ukulele player, has been a sought-after accompanist for over four decades, collaborating with renowned Hawaiian musicians both locally and internationally. His unique "fairy dusting" style, evident in his award-winning recordings, blends seamlessly with various musical genres.
Throughout his career, Bryan has shared the stage and studio with luminaries like Raiatea Helm, Jake Shimabukuro, and Aunty Genoa Keawe. His work with acclaimed hula hālau and renowned producers has further solidified his reputation as a versatile and respected musician.
In addition to his extensive collaborations, Bryan has released solo and duet albums, including the Nā Hōkū Hanohano-winning "Ka ‘Ukulele Lele" and "Ukulele Friends" with Herb Ohta Jr. He also actively teaches and performs, inspiring new generations of ‘ukulele enthusiasts.

Halehaku Seabury
Halehaku Seabury, a Grammy-nominated and multi-Nā Hōkū Hanohano Award-winning musician from Kāneʻohe, Oʻahu, is a gifted guitarist, vocalist, composer, and arranger. Growing up in a musical family, Halehaku's early passion for music was nurtured by his parents and the vibrant Hawaiian music scene.
He began his formal musical training on the steel guitar under the guidance of his uncle, Alan L. Akaka. Inspired by legends like Jules Ah See and Jake Keliʻikoa, Halehaku honed his skills and developed a unique style.
Halehaku has excelled as both a studio musician and a solo artist. His contributions can be heard on albums by renowned artists like Kainani Kahaunaele and Keao Costa. With his group Nā Hoa, he has recorded and preserved timeless Hawaiian songs.

Kapena School of Music
Kapena School of Music is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization based in Kane'ohe, Hawaii, aims to inspire a passion and purpose that fosters mental and emotional wellness within the community. By providing a safe and inclusive environment, the school strives to become an extended 'ohana for its students, welcoming them with open arms and guiding them on their musical journey.
Past Concerts
Our mission of engaging, educating, and enriching all ages around the world through music and the 'ukulele is at the heart of this Concert Series. Though it is being hosted, in person, by Windward Mall in Kāne'ohe, Hawai'i, it will be live-streamed world wide to connect our world wide 'ukulele community with Hawai'i. Our goal is to feature a variety of Hawaiian Artists from all islands, including up and coming artists and keiki groups. We want to provide a safe space for sharing mele (songs) and mo'olelo (stories).
