Welcome to ‘Ukulele Club of Hawai‘i
‘Ukulele Club Hawai‘i was originally founded in 2006 by Lina Girl, Bruddah Sam, and Joe & Kristen Souza (of Kanile‘a ‘Ukulele). With the blessing of the founders, ‘Ukulele Club Hawai‘i became a program of Four Strings at a Time in 2024. Our goal is to continue its growth and add online educational elements to expand this free community program.
There are no membership dues or fees to join. Gatherings are free and open to the public. We encourage you, whether you’ve been playing 20 years or 6 months, to join us. Everyone is welcome at ‘Ukulele Club! Make sure to download your free music sheets and check out our free resources (video lessons and more), as they become available!

For our August Club Meeting, it will be a Jam followed by a Four Strings Concert. We are beyond excited to have Bryan Tolentino and Friends joining us for leading songs as well as the free concert afterward. As soon as music sheets are ready, we will notify you to download your packets so you can practice ahead of time! We look forward to sharing music with everyone!

August Mini Lesson with Neal Chin:
This month's lesson is a small dive into minor chords. Neal uses D minor (Dm) to showcase some ideas that you can do with just a little bit of theory. Remember, though he is using Dm in his example, you can apply this idea to other minor chords too! It's a great lesson that will give you thinking more about the notes in your chords.
Don't forget our meeting this month is a Club and Concert featuring Bryan Tolentino. We are very excited have him and look forward to all the wonderful mele he will be sharing with us. Please join us online or in person at Windward Mall, 9AM HT (noon pacific) for Club, followed by 10:15AM HT (1:15PM PT) concert on August 15, 2026.
