Our objective is to initiate our pilot program of this curriculum by Fall 2025, with an optional Website Orientation session in July (date TBD). The Pilot will contain our first 2 modules, and a 3rd module (Holiday Module) will be added once fall has begun. The pilot is absolutely free. All we ask is your feedback throughout your time using the curriculum via bi-monthly google forms. We will also have optional bi-monthly Zoom ‘Ukulele sessions to support you, the teacher. For those that will need to reach us for more urgent matters, we are a quick e-mail away: info@fourstringsatatime.org

Need ‘Ukulele?

If you are ready to commit to the Fall 2025 Pilot, please sign up with our pilot ASAP so that we can help you with your instrument needs. Whether you need instruments repaired, or new instruments, we are working with our local luthiers (instrument makers) to ensure all instruments are ready/available for fall. You do NOT need to be on O‘ahu to be a part of this pilot. We welcome our neighboring islands to take part, and if you have instrument repairs/needs, please reach out to us so we can help you.

Module Draft & Overview

As we continue our filming and editing of written material, please keep in mind that song choices and virtual excursions MAY CHANGE. Click on the button to see the Module 1 Unit Draft. The photos below also show an overview of the 2 main modules found in our pilot, as well as a few song selections that will be in our Holiday Module, which is also part of the pilot. All lessons incorporating ʻōlelo Hawaiʻi will include pronunciation instruction and opportunities for student practice. As demonstrated in our Module 1 Unit Draft, this curriculum aligns with relevant National Standards and standards established by the Office of Hawaiian Education. Each video lesson is approximately 20 minutes long and is supplemented by separate teacher resource videos. These resources provide additional support for classroom practice, focusing on pronunciation, rhythm, and melody.

Please note that this is a teacher led curriculum and will not require student data.

PDF Drafts

Please feel free to look through our sample PDFs. These PDFs will corespond with our video lessons, teachers will be able to print out each PDF with their coresponding lesson. There will also be PDFs of teacher resources as well as extra video content, such as supplemental rhythm exercises, teacher tips, and more.
